Erica Albright's a bitch. You think that's because her family changed their name from Albrecht or do you think it's because all UB girls are bitches? Yeah, I'm watching The Social Network right now... again. I can't help myself when it comes to this film. It's just.. It's wonderful. Moving on.
No surprises here - my time has been filled in with job applications as of late. I really knuckled down this past week. On Monday I applied for 12 jobs and by Wednesday I had applied for another 6. Not that it really helped much, I only heard back from one. Which was Cotton On, and it was a waste of time anyway. They called me for a phone interview and caught me completely off guard and I sounded like a massive twat. But whatever. There's a cinema just near my house that is run by volunteers so I decided I'd volunteer there because a) my dream job would be at a cinema (yep - I dream big!) and b) at least I'll be out there gaining experience and have something on my resume and won't look so lazy! I start training on Wednesday night and I'm really looking forward to it.
Thursday, My mum and I went to see 127 Hours which was P H E N O M E N A L! I mean, it's usually not my type of movie but it was just made so beautifully and was so fucking interesting to watch! I really, really enjoyed it. And if James Franco wins the Oscar over Jesse Eisenberg I won't even be mad because he was spectacular (not that he isn't usually but wow!)
Friday was my cousin Dakota's 13th birthday party. We had a little afternoon tea at her house which was a lot of fun. We just sat around chatting and stuffing our faces with junk food. I got my shoes! And my cousins Amber, Kristy and Adam all gave me some books and DVDs to borrow so there's no chance I'll be bored any time soon.
Saturday night I went back over to Dakota's to help out with her birthday party. She had about 15 teenage girls over (and two boys - the poor things were so bored with all those girls!) for a sleepover and movies. I didn't really help out much but I kept her mum Kristy sane haha. We basically spent the night eating pizza, watching movies and trying not to let the screaming girls drive us crazy. Dakota also loaned me one of the Lenore graphic novels that she got for her birthday. I'd never read any of Roman Dirge's comics but I've definitely been converted into a fan. Can't wait to read more!
And now it's Valentine's Day (I only wrote that in pink to make it seem more exciting but it's really not exciting). Valentine's Day has always been just another day to me and this year is no different. The only reason I've even remembered is because my sister is pretty-ing herself up right now for her boyfriend and has made him chocolate hearts hahaha. I think even if I had a boyfriend, I wouldn't want to do anything on Valentine's Day other than maybe hang out and play video games or something. If this imaginary boyfriend of mine did anything 'romantic' or bought me jewellery or something, I'd probably break up with him since clearly he didn't know me well enough to know not to do that. Is that wrong? Hahaha.

Hahahha I'm clearly cute, making love heart chocolates. And V-Day is a cute day, so i wanna be girly :3
ReplyDeleteI feel so sorry for you and Kristy, hahahahaha
Cheeseburgers over bracelets ha that's definitely a new one :) I didn't get anything for Valentines anyway (nope, not even a cheeseburger) so it was just another day for me too.
ReplyDelete"They called me for a phone interview and caught me completely off guard and I sounded like a massive twat."
Ha that made me chuckle :) that's me allover so I feel your pain. Looking for jobs is sooo stressful! We should just set up our own businesses. Seriously. Now all we need is a money tree...
I can't wait to hear all about Melbourne, seriously!
ReplyDeleteDakota's party sounds interesting... to say the least haha. Those poor boys, or perhaps they enjoyed the view, who knows.
Hahahah thats not wrong at all. My dream Valentines gift is Lego, tbh.
